Fallout 4 Xbox One Update Prepares the Game for Mods
Those accepted into the beta will be giving mods a try next week.
A new update for the Xbox One version of Fallout 4 is now available, preparing the game for the imminent beta test on mod support.
Bethesda announced on Twitter today that the new update, version 1.5.205, is now "live in preparation for mods." It also confirmed that the closed beta to test mods will begin next week.

Sony will perform regular maintenance on the PlayStation Network next Tuesday, May 24, the company has announced. The maintenance is expected to begin at 9:30 PM PST and run for two hours, ending at 11:30 PM PST. This comes out to 12:30 AM EST to 2:30 AM EST, if you live on the east coast. On the PSN Service Status page, Sony explained that only PlayStation 4 is affected. During the maintenance period, users will not be able to access account management, PlayStation Video, or the PlayStation Store.
However, anyone who is signed in before the maintenance kicks off can play games and use "most" applications without interruption.

Xbox Dev Teases Something for Today

[UPDATE] It looks like the announcement Ybarra was referring to was Call of Duty: Black Ops coming to the Xbox One's backwards compatibility program. The original story is below.
It looks like Microsoft may have some kind of an announcement to make today. Xbox engineering lead Mike Ybarra posted a cryptic message on Twitter last night, signalling something for later today.
It would appear that something Xbox-related will be revealed/detailed today. He posted the tweet at 10:21 PM, so 13.5 hours from then would be around 11-12 today.
We'll keep our eyes on this and report back with new information when it becomes available.
Ybarra is a partner director for the Xbox and Windows platforms. He heads up the development on updates for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, though that doesn't necessarily mean that's what this tease pertains to.
There are also rumors swirling around about Microsoft potentially announcing new hardware. Recently, Xbox boss Phil Spencer even said Microsoft would talk about things "beyond" Xbox One and Windows 10 relatively soon. Microsoft's E3 briefing in June is expected to bring even more news, on top of whatever ends up being shown today.

Don't see your favorite game here? Back in November, Microsoft said it is holding discussions with all major publishers and developers to possibly bring their games to the program. However, the decision about whether or not a game is added to the lineup ultimately comes down to individual publishers.

Star Wars Actor Says Episode 8 Will Be "Darker, Bigger" Than Previous Movies

Star Wars Episode VIII has been in production for two months now, and while we know very little about its storyline, several cast members have spoken about the approach that writer/director Rian Johnson is taking to the sequel. The latest actor to tease a few details is John Boyega.
Boyega was interview by Variety at the Cannes Film Festival, where he was asked about what fans could expect. "It's a different take--darker, bigger," he said. "Someone will say: 'How do you get bigger than Force Awakens?' But it's crazy."
Boyega's comments mirror those made by fellow actor Oscar Isaac last month. Isaac, who plays ace pilot Poe Dameron, told the LA Times that Johnson's approach to the series would set it apart from previous instalments. "Rian is definitely going to places and investigating things that haven't really been done in the Star Wars universe," he revealed. "For me, it's so fun getting to explore different things that I wouldn't have expected in this universe.
"In some ways it feels like we're making an independent film. Certain things we get to play with--this kind of intimacy that we get to find--it's special. It's been really fun."
Daisy Ridley, who plays Rey, has also spoken previously about the darker tone of Episode VIII. In addition, last month she revealed her lightsaber skills in a new video, filmed during preproduction. Episode VIII opens in December 2018. You won't have to wait that long to see a new Star Wars movie, however, as Rogue One comes out later this year.
Halo 5 Marked Down to $30
One of the best deals ever for the Xbox One shooter pops up not long after the game's latest free expansion.
Halo 5: Guardians, one of the biggest new releases in the first-person shooter space of 2015, is marked down substantially right now at a number of US retailers. Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy, and Target are offering it for just $30.
This is one of the lowest prices we've ever seen for the shooter. It remains to be seen if this is a temporary price drop or an official new price point for the Xbox One game. Whatever the case, if you've had your eye on the game, this is a deal you may want to consider.
Halo 5 launched in October 2015. Since then, developer 343 Industries has regularly supported it with new content in the form of maps, modes, and more. All of this post-release content has been free. The most recent add-on was this month's Memories of Reach, while the next one is called Hogs Wild.
The Biggest Moments from Game of Thrones Season 6, Episode 4 [SPOILERS]

Warning: Spoilers are coming. Daenerys Targaryen has found herself at Vaes Dothrak with all the other khal widows. She has to go before the khals. They are going to decide her fate. However, Jorah and Daario have infiltrated Vaes Dothrak, in order to save Daenerys. She still has a plan and goes into the meeting with the other khals.
She heads into tent to meet with them and in typical Daenerys fashion, she gets high and mighty while talking to the other khals. She says she will rule over them. She sets the tent on fire, killing everyone inside, except for her, since she is impervious to fire. She walks out to Vaes Dothrak, where the rest of the Dothrakis look on, and they all bow to the woman who couldn't be burned.
It seemed like Daenerys was in a bit of a pickle being stuck in Vaes Dothrak with the other widows. This Dothraki city seemed like it was going to be her final stop. However, once again, she finds herself in a place of power. Anywhere she goes, she ends up becoming the leader, queen, khaleesi, etc. How is this going to affect her role in Meereen? Will she go back or will she once again lead the Dothraki people to conquer the western world?
"Book of the Stranger" dragged a bit. Some of the other big moments in the episode really kept the episode moving, but there were quite a few times where the episode felt slow. More importantly, many fans were wondering what was going to happen with Ned Stark at the Tower of Joy, which Bran saw visions of last week. Alas, Bran was not part of this episode, and it may be another week before we get any more progression in that story. Other Notable Moments:
Sansa and Jon Snow reunite at Castle Black. She wants Jon to retake Winterfell and get rid of the Boltons. However, Ramsey Bolton sends Jon a message saying he has Rickon Stark, and he'll do a plethora of horrible things to him and Sansa unless she comes back to Winterfell.
Tyrion becomes the voice of the queen while Daenerys is away and puts together an agreement with the slavers. They can have slavery for the next seven years as long as they stop supporting Sons of the Harpy.
The High Sparrow talks to Margaery Tyrell and allows her to see her brother, in order to try and get him to break, but Margaery is smarter than that and knows the game he's playing. Cersei and Jaime talk to the council about taking the High Sparrow down.
Theon Greyjoy heads back to the Iron Islands and wants his sister to take the throne. Theon does not want to be king.
Ramsay Bolton has Osha cleaned up and lets her know that he knows that Osha helped Sansa. Bolton stabs her in the neck, and she dies, raising Ramsay's kill count, yet again.
